Bonnie's Life till now

Now is where I come in, Bonnie Albert. Wow, I do not think I can top my husband (with his Navy stories)..but one can always try!!!!

I grew up in Brockton,Ma (until I was 10 yrs old), then moved to Stoughton, Ma. I had a pretty happy childhood----despite all the fights my sister and I seemed to have had. I always wanted to become a nurse, ever since I was a young child. Medicine always intrigued me. Actually, I wanted to be a surgeon, but having trouble with bilateral eye muscles (requiring surgery on both eyes)I decided a nurse would be a good choice. That was until I entered junior high and caught the acting bug.

My teen years were happy ones. I had the opportunity to travel to NYC and enjoy the theatre. After seeing A Chorus Line a few times, I knew I wanted to go to Hollywood and be famous! Well, I could not carry a tune, did not dance very well, and was over weight so, I settled on enjoying my time in the drama club (in junior and high school). My junior year in high school, I went to a college fair and got information on many schools. My senior year I applied to about five schools for physical therapy. Because my math skills were weak, I was accepted to all of these schools for nursing (go figure!!). I ended up enrolling in St Elizabeths Hospital School of Nursing in Brighton, Ma. It was a three year school and I enjoyed all the learning and hard work it took to eventually graduated and become an R.N.

I got a job at Cardinal Cushing General Hospital and worked as a staff R.N. on an orthopedic floor. I worked there for 15 yrs until I herniated a disc. I injured myself on 6/2/98 and have not worked since. I really loved my job as a nurse, but now that I am not working, I realize how truly happy I am not working as a nurse. Wow, those 15 years were the most stressful of my life. The best thing that came out of my nursing job was that my friend Greta introduced me to my future husband.it was a blind date!

I met Scott on 2/9/98. That evening changed my life forever! We went to Noceras for dinner, and I fell in love. Years later, I told Scott I knew I was going to marry him (after our first date). He just laughs! We dated a few years before getting married. We started our family right away. After 18 hours of hard labor, our first son was born. Scott George Jr. Fifteen months later, our second son Maxwell joined our family. Becoming a mother made my life complete. There is nothing like having your child come up to you, give a big hug, and say, I love you mommy. Now that I have two sons, I am hoping for a daughter some day.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I wish my family lived closer though. My parents and sister (and her little girl) live in Florida. I try to go there as often as I can (even though I hate flying). My sons love to go there too.

My days are usually consumed with caring for the kids and I would not have it any other way. With the kids (and my soul-mate Scott), I have found true happiness and that is what life is all about.
